looking for a reputable place to have my transformer worked on..I have a Multi control Train master transformer.type RW 110 watts.  It's bin packed away at my moms for 27 years. My dad got the train in the 50s. We used to put it around the tree. The train it self is sound . It hasent had power to it in 27 years. Would like to bring back to life so my older kids can enjoy it in the future. Took me 27 years to pry it from my moms hands bummer is it was mine in the firstplace LOL.

Fold the RW's power cord back over itself in a couple different places along the cord. If you see cracks, or if the rubber insulation crumbles, the cord is rotted and needs to be replaced. Chances are that may be the only repair you would have to make to it. Any Lionel Service Station should be able to check out the transformer for you. Or... I believe we have one or two forum members who do transformer repairs and somebody will probably post a contact for you later today.

Update:  OK, you've already heard from Harry. At least I'm not the only graveyard shifter on here.
