The are some old trains in the yard at 30th st right now
I get em confused,But they are Pennsylvania E of F somethings, an A and B unit. Nice paint on em too.
There are 3 coaches on the same track about 100 feet away from the engines,closer to the expressway'
If your heading east on the Schuylkill,with 30th st on the right,look to the right and the back of the yard,The A unit is facing you,with the B behind it

You just can't walk into the yard. Twenty five years ago, I had a FELA case and had to get into the yard. It was not easy. Everything from wearing hard hats to being accompanied by security.

Actually, the security is rather lax. The easiest think to do is to go to the new parking garage behind the Cira Center. You can get great views from many elevations.
AMTRAK and SEPTA trains go right by the yard. Always something interesting there - even private car(s) now and then.
