I have an older Atlas SD35 from  Ebay run great for a while then the front truck started locking up. Pulled body off discovered the single motor mounting screw had loosen and came out. There are 4 screws holding the bottom plate on the front gear case. I can get the front screws out just by turning the truck left and right as far as possible. But the 2 rear screws thats another story, any ideas how I can get them out or get the truck off the engines frame.                                                                                                                                                           Thanks for your help

On every atlas diesel i have seen, the trucks are mounted to the frame on a bolster plate and plastic insulator by 4 screws that surround the motor in more or less a square pattern.  So if you got the front 2 out of the frame, there are going to be 2 more behind the motor as well, they could be under the smoke unit or something.  Dont lose the white plastic washers under those screws either. Remove those 4 screws as well as the screws on the trucks holding the pickup roller and common wires, the entire truck should drop out, motor and all.

The motor screw releases the motor from the truck block. If that is out already the motor should  come out along with its mounting plate.

If the truck is jamming and the motor mount screw was loose, I'd guess that the motor rocked out of proper engagement with the worm gear shaft in the truck.  It can be a bit of a pain to line up the flat spots on the bearing with the truck block and get it all to mesh back together.
