I can't help noticing these Chessies, now that I'm learning about them. I figured they all got repainted by now. I see some videos in 2010 still around?

I don't see this scheme come up to the Niagara Falls yard so I thought it was gone! Very cool. There have been some interesting ones that I've seen. Even some old SF and SPs! Wish I had gotten pics of them.

In my neck of the woods (Montgomery County MD, Just outside Wash. DC) you see a good deal of old schemes. The B&O (Now CSX) mainline is not far.

Chessie is regularly seen, along with New York Central, Conrail, Family Lines/L&N, B&O, etc, etc. Not very long ago I also saw a Milwaukee road boxcar.  Being at school close to Amtrak brings all sorts of private passenger cars as well, beautifully restored. Toss in the occasional heritage unit and there is plenty to see.

This is amazing to me, that these are around. They just must not make it onto certain lines? I've train watched in Silvercreek, NY and saw the Conrail color still strong a few years back. The NS line a few yards away had just a couple of different schemes visit.

I think the Falls yard just serves as a line up to the Depew or Buffalo yards? They run a train in, drop the cars and take a train out daily. Usually just two newer CSX units do the job. I've seen some nice newer clean UP with flags there. I saw some new BNSFs up at Niagara Hobby waiting for a signal in Depew. The older engines don't come around here as often? Maybe they make it into Depew and pass by?

I just figured they were gone. How did those BN white faces get freshened up? There's been some Heritage releases sneeking in? Pretty cool to me. Always liked seeing the cars with the old road names still applied.

Uh oh, starting to foam...... look at all the schemes I could add to my modern RR downstairs.

I'd give anything to see some Chessie power; still hoping for a CSX heritage campaign to appear at some point.  Those first two videos you posted (from 1990) I think I've watched a dozen times each on Youtube.  Even in the 80's it was a treat to see Chessie power come through... nothing but CSX after CSX after CSX these days.

And that MOW train (or one identical to it) was in Orlando/Sanford last month (see pics).
