I purchased this on the bay, the only way I can here in Aussie Land and I must say, I love this model. cTr....( Choose the Right )

Hi Carey I thought this might catch your attention! This loco is very much like the one you found, In fact it was your find that drew my attention to this loco when it came up on Ebay. The steam dome is a reversing switch, yes!
Im convinced it is Scalecraft, but beautifully exacted, but by who?? maybe by the same person? It's quite a step above your average Scalecraft NYC Hudson, thats for sure. cTr....( Choose the Right )
Nice detail, Stephen. (not that I like steam locos, you know).
Thanks Max I cant seem to resist these oldies. cTr...(Choose the Right )
Both look like Scale Craft to me - and very nicely done! I always replace the sand dome and reduce the size of the tender rivets.
I agree Bob its Scalecraft for sure, but some one did some nice work on her. So! how do you reduce the size of the rivits on the tender?, some of them are quite obscure. cTr.... ( Choose the Right )
My tender had huge rivets in some places, and very small rivets (or none at all) in others. I just took some #400 wet sandpaper and went over the big ones until the contrast was not so stark. Looks ok.
I have seen Scale Craft tenders with smooth sides. I like my solution better. You need to move that decal up anyway.
Thanks Bob The rivet tip is great, and you are so right about the decal, it is so wrong! cTr....( Choose the Right )
Hello Scale Craft and Hudson fans
Scale Craft seems to have changed their frame and drive on the Hudson sometime between 1934 and 1937 ...
Please see photos . .... later style has the reverse dome switch . ..I'm sure there are many small changes through the years . There seem to be several changes to the body casting .
The early frame seems to be the rounded openings in the frame later more squared off openings .
