For several years l subscribed to a little newsletter published out of Colorado Springs by an author of a book on the Colorado Midland RR , which once ran west out of the Springs. I don't have either's name (book or author) handy, but he had periodic field trips up the pass and west past the several tunnels in the pass, surviving sites and structures, and then on to the former connection with D&RGW in western Colorado. l wanted to take one of those field trips but never managed it, ten years or more ago Anybody on here get to take one of those trips? "Progress" erases so much railroad evidence....
