The Boston Metro High Railers invite NETCA and OGR Forum Members who are in our area to an Open House at our new location in Wilmington, MA on Saturday, June 9, 2012.

 

Time:  10AM – 4PM

 

Complimentary Admission

 

You will observe our reinstalled layout operating at our new location.   You will see the scenery work in progress.   And, we invite those who so desire to bring a train or a locomotive to run on our rails.  Track time will be made available.

 

The layout accommodates Lionel Legacy/TMCC, MTH PS2/PS3 locomotives using DCS and Conventional locomotives

 

The Club's address is: 5 Waltham Street, Wilmington, MA

I will do that...  Our website is back up and there are some pictures there that you can look at...  some show an activity we did at last year's Wilmington 4th of July celebration...  We'll be there again this year... there are some other photos of the layout prior to reassembly at the new site and some other photos as well...

Marty you are so right.  The bench work is very impressive, as is the trackwork and wiring. LOL My wife kept asking me. "what are you looking at," since I wasn't focusing all of my attention on the trains that were running.

Maryland is a tad far for a day trip :-)

I am going to be the Trainmaster for tomorrow... But I'll also bring my camera for pics; hope I have time to take pictures!  But we're covered on that front; some other members are set to be photographers...

 

I thank Marty for the comments about the benchwork...  It has been constructed really well... Another feature you might notice is that all the curves are banked and transition spirals are used to match the straight track to the curve track...  we followed the method given by John Armstrong in his book... I think the trains look very good going through the curves...  Most curves are O96; minimum radius is O72...
