Thinking about building a consist with rolling stock like the giraffe car but I need info also on other rolling stock that's similiar. I think there's a lion car and zebra car but I couldn't find much info. I would also like to know if they operate reliably or not. I also see there are variations with rail sounds. I remember one of us forum members said they had a consist of nothing but giraffe cars, if you are reading this, do you have video of it running? I think my kiddos will get a real giggle out of it! Thanks!

There is a forum member named "David from Dearborn" that has posted a few videos of his postwar style layout operating a train with multiple giraffe cars and an elephant car.

Here is a topic where he posts several videos you can watch.

Besides the giraffe cars, there have been an elephant car, and a T-Rex dinosaur car. For Christmas there is a Santa car and a reindeer car. I'm not positive, but I also think there was an Easter Bunny car. Some of these are"ducking" cars, where the figure's head is up until you come to the telltale and the head ducks under the telltale. Some are "bobbing" cars where the figure's head bobs up and down as the car moves down the track.

For more animal themed cars, there are also horse cars where the horse's heads move in and out of windows on the sides of the car. These animals are much smaller than for the ducking and bobbing cars. There have been some zoo or circus variations with different types of animals than horses. For Christmas, there have also been reindeer cars.
