I have several of them and they work fantastic. My only complaint is that they did not come out sooner so I did not have to wire up the others that were not command to my SC-2s. Great value and really work well for routes, normal switching, and recording of sequences.
I have all command switches and they are great.
We purchased three 072's last month and I'm placing an order for three more.
They've worked perfectly on the Christmas layout and require no wiring.
I have all command control. Works great. Only one bad switch out of all of them and it wasn't the command part, i think the motor died.
Gentlemen,
I am being advised that these new command Lionel FasTrack switches are different than the other FT switches. My question is can I control them remotely from my DCS,
is there a way to make this happen? If so I maybe very interested in these new switches.

Not using the built in command control function of the switch. You would just wire these switches to an AIU like any other switch. DCS can address the engines but no other functions that I know of at this time.
Jeff,
Thanks much for the info and Happy Birthday once again!

GlennDegroat,
Are you running any Tin Plate, especially the 800 series rolling stock and 263E type engines and the 12 wheel tenders? I have been advised that these new switches are really able to accommodate just about everything, is that true?

Glenn,
I have been running FasTrack for many years, have a lot of the original mid black rail and love it, the swithces were always a big problem for my Tin Plate, these new switches seem to have been made to accommodate my Tin Plate, and I keep hearing great things about them, if the Lionel FasTrack Command Control Swithes really do accommodate my Tin Plate trains, I will be investing in them and the Lionel remote system also, I now run DCS only. As you indicated, I will need to test the FasTrack CC switches with my Tin, some of my friends are saying it now handles Tin perfectly. Wish I had somebody close by with a layout so I could test them out, without purchasing the switches. I may have a way to get may hands on a pair, we will see.

Glenn,
Thanks for the offer, however I am up here outside of Pittsburgh, Pa.

Dave,
You're welcome to bring some tinplate over to run on our Holiday layout. We have the newest 072 Command Fastrack switches as well as the original 036 remote fastback switches. Max would enjoy it for sure!
We're in Canonsburg.
Mike
