When the Railway pushed through in 1909, the town of Gormley shifted over a bit to nestle closer to the line. In the early 1980's the encroaching Toronto suburbs made its level crossing a potential hazzard so a bypass road was built. With the recent addition of a second track to facilitate our new GO station, the footpath that replaced the town road needed some extra safety.
Here's the new GO commuter station from a distance. At this angle the inside curve almost looks like narrow gauge. I hope to get up close and friendly with the station on my next visit.
