As everybody probably heard our very own Marty Fitzhenry has succumbed to cancer. Marty was larger than life He was a good man that deserves any accolade from us. You all probably saw the nice memorial that MTH had on their website or any of the ones that were posted here. Unfortunately these memorials will disappear with time I would like to propose that we all kick in to memorialize Marty in a permanent way. The TCA museum in Lancaster has a program that lets you place a name on a brick at the entrance to the museum. I would like to use the largest amount of bricks the museum ever had for one person They will allow us to use 40 bricks at a cost of $100 a brick.

Awesome idea Ben! I’m in.
TY. I'm in. I have no idea about the timing, but it would be nice if we could have a dedication at York in October.

Great idea Ben.
Just curious what is the significance of 40 bricks?

I bought a brick. Great tribute Ben.
I'll get to this when I get on home at the PC. Couldn't think of any better way. I like Gerry's idea about trying to get the dedication in October, that would beat all.

Donated. Thanks Ben for setting this up.
Just did my part great idea. Only dealt with him thru this forum and a couple of emails but he was of great help with my issue.

Donated. Should be a fitting tribute.

Great idea. Perhaps consider a formal presentation to the TCA Museum at the "Thursday before York." MTH will be there for their presentation, maybe they would like to do something related to the memorial on their website.
Thanks for getting this started, Ben.
Done. Great idea, Ben.

Ben, Can the memorial tribute include his caregiver Dot, she was there for him to the end and should have a mention in the memorial?

To tell you the truth I havent even thought of the layout or content of the bricks I wanted to raise the money first and then work with the museum to come up with a design

That would be the ideal thing, money first, design second. I'm sure that it will come together pretty easily after that.
Awesome idea for immortality, Im in
thanks for starting.
Great idea!
Jeanne and I are in for a brick.

WOW, we're 3/4th of the way to the goal, that was FAAAAAST!
Ben might want to start thinking about where to donate the excess when his campaign is overfunded
Count Me In Too.

To the American Cancer Society in Marty and Dot's name!
Okay, I'm in, less than $900 to go.
I would take the extra money and do a tribute to Barry Broskowitz too.

Excellent Idea
For Marty and Dotty, never had the pleasure in person, but their contribution to this forum speaks for itself.
