Gene - Thank you. I found myself lost in you blog for the past hour and a half. You have a fine blog with many things to consider. I learned a lot from my brief look. I'll need to revisit many times.
For the few of you who do not know -Gene published the first definitive treatise on SP switch locomotives. He is one of my heroes in O Scale. Nice blog - I was unaware of it. I shall get some Protocraft Shell decals forthwith.

I have been collecting a few of the Russian WWII vehicles for eventual conversion to civilian use. The 'UM' kit is especially nice with a lot of etched brass parts. I don't think I've paid much more than $15-20 apiece.
