Get a round steel plate of the appropriate diameter, bolt it onto the radiator front grill, apply the famous Best and Only logo....and Boom, there you go !
I wonder if CSX would allow the use of the name Baltimore and Ohio and the capital dome.
We will not be using the B&O name, only the paint colors. This new railroad has it's own name. I have already changed the image to reflect the name of the road and engine number. When I get the OK from the boss, I'll post the image here.
Swafford, you'll be pleased to know that we are going to go with your version 2. An SW cab can be very hot in the summer. The lighter color roof will reflect at least some of the heat away from the cab. Plus, it has a more cohesive look to it with the cab and hood both gray.
I truly appreciate your help on this. The painters will begin prep work on the two SW1200's we purchased on May 11.
Rich, good choice. I like that paint scheme also. Can't wait til we can see the real thing all painted up.

Swafford, Nice work!
Just an idea - Maybe consider looking at pics of B&O tugboats - same basic design & colors.
I just deleted a few replies to this thread. As usual, some of you want to over-complicate what is actually a very simple process.
There is no need to continue down the road the thread was taking. I've closed the thread for now. When I have an image of the completed locomotive, I'll post it.
