I order trees in the wrong color. Even though the pic showed the correct ones they came in fall colors. Can I paint them or do something to change the color to green
Sure, why not? Try spray paint, dusting it until you get the look you want. Don't overdo it and you will get some nice variation, which will look even better than the commercial color.
Pete's right on the spot. If you want to experiment a little, get a bottle of the cheapest (stickiest) hair spray you can find. Spray the tree and dribble green or brown 'grass' on the damp and sticky factory 'leaves'. As Pete said, a couple of light coats are better than trying to rush the job with a heavy coat. A unique effect. Please share via photos how they look on your layout. John in Lansing, ILL
Usually the hairspray suffices as glue. If you think you need more hold, try a mist of dullcoat. Don't buy the Testor's in the tiny can. For the same price you can get 4x as much matte finish clear coat from Home Depot, which is the same thing.
