Is that the electrical generator just under the headlight or some other appliance? What type of generator is it (Pyle)?
What brand (Pyle) of headlight is that?
What was the purpose of the large bracket under the smokebox door (has 2 grabs on the front)?
Next is the running board curved step brackets, anyone know if these are available in brass and by who?

I'm far from a PRR expert but that is an unusual H-9. PRR experimented with appliance placement over the years finally arriving at the "modernized" set up which among other things swapped the headlight and generator. I've attached a more typical look of an LIRR engine.
That is the generator below the headlight and the protruding shelf is a platform for workmen to reach the generator etc.
Not sure if anyone makes these in O but I would try Precision Scale Co. and Bowser in their Selley line.

Yes, that is the Dynamotor or turbo generator.

I don't know what the "standard" headlight type was for PRR.

That is the platform for the Electrician to stand on while servicing the headlight and/or the Dynamotor.

Thanks Guys! I'm trying to track down parts for converting a PRR Railking 2-8-0 I just received from Hugh Laubis into one for the Norfolk & Portsmouth Belt Line RR.
Scotie, the picture you posted has the generator and headlight in the same location as the model. Both photos show running board to pilot steps vice ladders that are on the model and I want to fix that too. The NPBL loco had the large bracket for the electrician so I need to get that as well (probably have to make it, never seen it in any catalog). I'll have to grind off the headlight and generator so those will have to be ordered, plus a light for the tender.
Jack, I'm looking thru the PSC catalog now. Seems like I can't find a single source for all the parts I'm looking for so I'll have to split my ordering when I do. Once I get part numbers maybe P&D will have them all, which would be 
Bob D, your photo of the H9s shows the postwar "beauty treatment" that most PRR steam locomotives after WWII. The service platform is Precision Scale part #40853 "Platform for smoke front PRR" and the generator platform is Precision Scale #40410 "Bracket for Pennsy generator." Note that both of these platforms come with the hand grabs attached.
The loco in your photo seems to have the prewar headlight moved to the smokebox top. Many times a new-design headlight was used instead. Precision Scale #4552 "Modern PRR headlight" is the new design. I don't have a number for the prewar version. I also can't help with the step brackets.
EUREKA!!! PSC has the bracket for the front of the smokebox P/N PSH-40853. Who woulda thunk

Bob, thanks for those P/Ns. The "modern" Pennsy generator has a rounded end on the back that the early unit doesn't.
I've got a list of about a dozen items I need from PSC. I checked P&D and they don't have but 1.
Is it better to call them or email them with my list to request prices? I don't want to take up a lot of their time on the phone, but if that's the best way I don't mind if they don't!

For what it's worth, I have always phoned the nice folks at PSC. They may not be the fastest around, but the nice lady on the phone will tell you whether they have the item or not. Has always worked for me.

My advice call and talk to the nice lady. She can be very helpful. If a man answers hang up, he's a PITA. Don't email and don't order online, there is a 50-50 chance you will not be happy with the result.
I did talk to the nice lady and she fixed me right up 
It's been 10 days and no word on my order yet, is this normal? I know their site says 2-3 weeks so maybe they had to make some parts that weren't on the shelf.
