Passenger cars to follow a Boucher?

A friend of mine runs a set if McCoy cars that he has repainted in a Blue Comet scheme behind his Boucher engines.  The cars are not overly long, but he must have 10 to 12 cars that he is running behind his engine.

I don't know my prewar numbers well. I just recall "The Cabinet" and it's many occupants.... Arch windows and ornate brass windows/balcony, shades, oh and brass journal covers. It came in brown and I think was Ives and/or Lionel. Celest. roof.    It was a "short Madison" in my eyes.  And brown?; that's PRR to me.. Link and pin couplers.

I sure wish there was more prewar reference info online. The absence of it doesn't help prewar popularity imo. Gotta wonder what was tossed out because poor search results; "nothing"; implied to a novice there was likely no value at  theall in ol "rusty/dented toy train".

Lionel 410 series cars (418 series and state cars) as well as Ives 180 series, 187 series, 246 series all would look great.

Agree with Rob,  the larger offerings from Lionel and Ives sit tall off the track and would look the best with your tall locomotive.

I have a friend who has the same loco as you, and runs a set of large Ives 180 series cars behind it.  They look very nice.
