Because the latest MTH catalog was one for the books. Even with the majority of the offerings being semi-scale and/or fantasy, the Premier passenger cars alone are sure to make many fans, including this one, extremely happy. Big Jade Green smiles all 'round

I'm going to preorder a railking set and a couple years ago I made up a Penn central Congressional set from early Williams Aluminum cars but they will become surplus when the new cars arrive. I will order 2 maybe 3 extra coaches since I like long passenger trains since I don't believe MTH will make another run for a while since the PC is not the most popular road. I'll also ebay the vista dome out since they didn't use them. But for the people that want a dome, remember it's your railroad and you run what you want lol. Williams makes a nice F-3 as well as a scale GG-1 to pull your cars Tom. I seen the GG-1s go for pretty reasonable prices in the bay.

Ironically, to be strictly prototypical in addition to the domes the observation car and the baggage cars have to get nixed too. In the entire 8 disc set of Emery Gulash Penn Central footage, I never saw observation cars or baggage cars that weren't ex-PRR B60s.

It's a shame the 3rd Rail Penn Central E7s got cancelled, these would've gone great with them. They'll go great with any scale PC GG-1 and the semi-scale versions likewise with their counterparts. I just finished a custom Lionel Penn Central F-3 that would look fantastic pulling the semi scale set:
