Which do you find better, a phone or a tablet, for using an app--DCS, LionChief, Bluetrain, etc.--to run your trains?

I have good eyes so I use an older smart phone (without service) that has a 4.3" screen as my primary device. I do also have some 7" tablets that I bought cheap that work well too. The kids seem to prefer the 7" tablets.
I have DCS and prefer using my iPad. Phone app just as good, but I like the bigger screen size. Typically have 3-4 engines running at a time, and I love how quick and easy it is to switch between engines by just tapping the header in the app.
I use my Ipad for the BlueRail equipped engines, I don't have an Iphone (gasp!).
Ipad is a bit large to me, have to put it down when I need to turn a switch, uncouple, etc. I haven't tried one of those things you wear on your wrist/arm that you can attach an Ipad to, after a while it gets heavy too!
Same,ones just bigger.
IMO, the phone fits your hand better for doing other things while running. The pad is easier to see and to touch the buttons on the app.
My old phone keeps crashing so I've learned to use the pad more. I had to make a stand for the larger 10" pad so I could also run the video.
I think a 7 or 8" pad in a holder might be an ideal size? I still set it down to video though.
I have been using my (android) cell phone for running DCS the last few years and usually have 3 - 4 trains running on 2 lines.
I did buy a small tablet to to dedicate for train running but have been too lazy to switch over.
main reason is my cell phone battery is always needing a charge
I have used my iPhone and both the regular iPad and the mini iPad. The mini is kind of in between and works out well. When running multiple trains, the full size iPad is easiest to use.
