The park let us know this week that the official attendance for last weekend was over 30,000 people! They were hoping for 50k for the whole season! Now they are over that count with 3 more nights to go. I think they are quite happy about this season.
Here are some shots from last Sunday and from last night:
Choo Choo Kenny brought his Kennywood train to run:
He can't be too happy about this.
A police officer figure was added to the zombie scene. More than a few people didn't look close enough to see that the man in the truck was shooting at *zombies*. The police officer makes them look a little closer and we haven't had any confusion since. Also, a few more sasquatches have come out to see what the coomotion is all about.
A mountain man and his trusty mule.
A lot of people also seem to miss the sea creature...
Two heads are better than one...
Eagle-eyed viewers can spot a bald eagle in its nest.
Keith6700's engine pulling a consist of Polar RR and Polar Express freight.
Choo Choo Kenny's MTH Kennywood car collection.
And the pix from last night (12/19):
This engine was a gift to us from Lionel at their last open house in Ohio. After its shift was over, the rest of the night was all steam.
