Dear 0 Scalers,

 

I've made some progress on the layout this weekend. Slide Fences are done on the layout. They were a challenge to pull together and I've had about enough of those. I also put in some line poles in this area. Hope you guys enjoy the photos. Ballasting and building a coal mine are next on the list.

I use dirt from the backyard, leaf litter, ground foam and static grass as ground cover from Scenic Express. I use Super Trees with Noch leaves from Scenic Express for the trees and brush.

Lots of Super Trees... lots and LOTS of Super Trees.  I seem to remember reading something about that long ago - you want realism?  Tons of trees (unless you're modeling a moonscape) using the right colors and nuances.  You nailed it.  Those pics are simply breathtaking.

I think that's how he really got rid of the bamboo and it the secret to why it looks so good - he shredded the bamboo and turned it into scenery foliage......the secret is now unveiled!
