I wish the store in Marion Il had half that amount! (not really -
I just spent a bunch of cash there , but it would have been more)
The store in Naperville. Il has a good amount but a lot has been sold. I may take a ride to Yorkville and check it out. I think the Menards warehouse in Yorkville or Plano. I wonder if thats the reason they have so much?

There are no Menards in Plano or any other city in Texas.
Sorry, Illinois has a town called Plano located West of Chicago near Yorkville.

My local Menards store in Janesville, WI has lots of flat cars and buildings. The boxcars are all gone.
Little known "trivia" about IL....... Plano is on Hwy 34 which parallels the BNSF transcon mainline. The next town west of Plano is Sandwich, IL. At one time a town existed between them that has since disappeared. This was the hamlet of Ham. If all three communities could have survived, you could drive thru a Plano-Ham-Sandwich....
Ken,
Thanks for posting the trivia. I heard that story somewhere in time but could not remember it.

Just my random observations from the pics:
Wow, the 'built up' structure packages sure take up a lot of shelf space due to their sheer size.
The assortment of freight cars looks odd compared to what I'm used to here because I've never seen all those road names all jumbled up on the shelf together - seems hard to dig through, especially with those weird, China style plastic cartons & not boxes.
The $2.99 price on those die cast vehicles is outstanding if those are O scale.
last but not least, I wish there were Manards in Buffalo...
Pay attention around Christmas. Last Christmas (2014) a four pack of Fastrack 10" straights was going for $10 on close out.
For the East Coasters...you may want to invest in a plane ticket to Madison, WI. There are 3 Menards stores in town (East, West and Monona(south)). You could hit all 3 and fly back with the goodies or stop @ the UPS store and ship them.

Ben, I think you'd find that several of the Denver Diecast cars are a perfect fit for S gauge.

I was at the local Menards last week and they had a huge assortment of O Gauge rolling stock and buildings. Will be back there tomorrow, will be interesting how much was sold during the week.

Can anyone tell me how to get Parts from Menards?
I need 3 machine guns for the last flat with tanks. They came broken and I get no response from Menards.
