Anyone ever see a 736 with nickel rimmed Baldwin disks (with magnetraction, no less) and a cowcatcher lacking a simulated coupler?

FWIW, my 736 has regular black rims and simulated coupler in the cowcatcher so the eBay unit is new to me.
Looks like a 736 boiler on a 726 mechanism. Can't have magnetraction with the Baldwin drivers.
Ditto.
i would have to agree about the chassis swap magnatraction uses sintered iron drivers

Looks like a parts box special to me. IMHO. the bidding is already rather high. I feel sorry for whoever wins the auction.
The bidding is not that high for a nice looking Berk with the Baldwin wheels if it's a good runner, as long as you know what it is and what it isn't. Has anyone asked the seller about this item?
I guess that's what makes horse races.
The seller is being standup about the cab roof having damage.

Yeah, I asked last night. No response as of yet.
I have a 726 RR boiler without the RR that might look nice on that.

I would agree and having just gone through the research process with my own pair of original 726's I went ahead and wrote the seller a nice note suggesting that there may be a mismatch here. Not to worry - I didn't mention any of you!
He is TCA and has some other really nice items listed, among them some original Madison (3 different) cars as well as three nice PW steamers. One is the desirable 1946 version of the 671 Turbine that appears to be 'correct'.
My guess is that this Berk is an oversight on his part. I wouldn't mind having it!
