I just went to the Crowfoot Sportsman's Club website to check on the train bash date and on the events calendar it says they will no longer be holding it. Anyone know what happened?

I used to go, but stopped going a couple of years ago. Over the years, I noticed that fewer and fewer people were going, and last time I went, I heard that they had trouble selling all the main tickets. I'm guessing they didn't think they could sell enough tickets this time around.
It is a shame. I stopped going due to the fact that it was held on one of our club display nights at Kennywood, and the fact that the prizes of interest to me were getting rather few and far between. I have won prizes there over the years, and it was fun while it lasted.
John Brady could probably shed more light on Crowfoot's reasons.

Thank you Andy, I was guessing declining attendance was a factor as well. I'll have to stop at Brady's and see what John knows.
John told me on Saturday that they were not having it this year. It sounded like there were multpile reasons but he didn't go inot details. He was hoping someone else would have a Train Bash in the future. I enjoyed it a lot. I was sad to hear the news. My boys were really upset.
