Plastic welding kit

We have a "professional" kit at work. I am a skilled metal welder and the instructions in the kit said it is similar to metal welding. Got bored on niteshift one evening so me and my counterpart decided to play with it. Read the instructions many times and after 9 hours of melted goo we gave up. I can tell you it is NOTHING like metal welding....lol

We have one at work as well.  The guy that uses it is very good, but he did take a two day how too class on its operation. 

 

I think the amount of heat and the type of material you’re using is the most critical part, once you understand what type of plastics work best togather it's just like metal welding.

 

It’s a cool tool once you master it!
