There was a recent post about the engine pictured relative to its headlight, but I can't find it. I have a question. How is the battery inserted to make the light work?? Is my engine missing a part (or am I missing something?) Mine has a metal "ear" with a fiber "ear" beneath, but the whole arrangement doesn't make sense to me. I don't see how the circuit is made, or how the battery stays in.

I have one fairly easy to get to. Will post a picture later this evening.

Thanks, I'd appreciate that.
Here it is. The little tab is a sort of L that is attached by the eyelet behind the bulb.
The fiber piece holds the battery in, the metal one is the on-off lever.

Oh, I get it. The fiber doesn't need to rotate all the way to the battery center; only enough to support the battery. Then the dimple on the metal tab makes electrical contact over the fiber. So it looks like mine is missing the L-tab up by the headlight. We'll see if we can get this puppy lighted. Steve and Ace, thank you so much.
