Lionel knocked this one out of the park. I wasn't intending on picking this up until I saw it at a friends house. I look forward to comparing this to the prototype of Charles Ro ever decides to ship it!

I watched your video and while I love all things PE, I couldn't fit this engine on my layout and passed. It looks great running! Thanks for the video.
That was a nice review, Chris...and fantastic runby scenes on a neat layout.
An all black roof may have looked sharper. The wavy snow pattern is okay, a bit "funny" for a train that moves so fast there won't be any snow left on top, but it's all in fun anyway and that's what's most important
I hemmed and hawed pre-ordering this set and the add-on cars until the very last day Charles Ro was accepting pre-orders, and now am scrambling on how to pay for it

Paul - thank you! I agree about the snow. You figure this train should have blown the snow off the roof! I guess it’s still a “magic train” at the end of the day. I’m just glad there isn’t a hobo on the roof playing limbo with the catenary system!
Chris - with your enjoyable PE train video this morning, and an e-mail invoice from Charles Ro this afternoon - it's feeling a little like Christmas in April That's my good news...bad news is my layout is a disaster area...and my credit card is smoking.
Wonderful video review. Thank you for posting.
It would be really neat if Amtrak would paint or wrap a real Acela in this Polar Express scheme for a fall/winter Northeast Corridor run and use the Tom Hanks movie audio at each station stop.
Nice.
I like the snow on the roof, nice touch.
Gee, I'm holding out for the Penn Central Acela with the "worms in love" logo.
Yeah, sure I am.
