I have a question about this engine. Mine arrived in good shape. I opened the smoke box door and noticed there is a 4 wire connector that is not plugged in to any thing. Is this connector for a mars light? The owners manual doesn't say what it's for. I do wish this engine had a front coupler but I can live without it. If that connector is for a mars light where would I get one and what is the part number? Thanks in advance for replying.

It probably is for a MARS light connection. Other Berks have them so I suspect the wiring is all the same. The issue you'll have is a quick search found them unavailable in the road numbers I checked and the number boards on the boiler front won't match the 1225 unsee of course you net the 1225 ( not Polar Express Berkshire).

Thanks Marty. That was what I thought is was for but wanted to make sure something wasn't plugged in. This is the Legacy version.
