I have a 600, 601 and 610 switcher. I have two general questions.

1) What is the machine screw size of the one screw that holds the body to the chassis? Obviously I have lost the screw.

2) On one of my power trucks the coupler points up at a slight angle. High enough to uncouple at every little bounce. How do I remedy that defect?

Thanks all you experts out there. Happy Holidays to all!

Formatting word of warning...

You might want to put the text on its own line apart from the graphic. On my phone the "Do not" is off to the right of the graphic and the remainder is directly below it on a new line from getting wrapped around, so what your eye catches is a big yellow triangle and "use 40 TPI Machine screws in place of the Type Z Self Tapping threads!" directly below it. The "do not" is too easily missed.

@Dennis Rosenthal, @Former Member's message on formatting was to me with regards to my message with the warning icon causing some weird word wrapping display issues on some displays that could actually obfuscate (and reverse) the meaning of the warning.

The warning NOT to use machine screws in this instance still stands. You specifically need a 4 x 1/4 Slotted Binding Head Self Taping Type Z screw for the body mount screw for this locomotive.

bmoran4,

Thanks. Are those screws available other than at a Train store? Can I get them at HD or Lowe's for instance?

Regarding the switcher coupler. It appears to be completely in tact. One of the couplers is pointing up slightly causing the cars it is pulling to de-couple. Is there an adjustment to be made to correct this? Thanks so much. Happy Holidays1
