Hello Members, I have in my collection about 10-12 Post War F3 train sets, most of the passenger cars are extruded aluminum. Some of the passenger cars have furniture and LED's inside and I would like to put passengers inside with LED's also, but my initial challenge is where can I purchase the seats, table, chairs or can I make these myself. 8-10 passenger cars per set is a lot of detail work. Can anyone help me out here ? Thanks - MARSHELANGELO

Greg, to get you started, if haven't already, go to the menu and search passenger car interiors. You will see prior threads on your topic. Buck.
Yes, you can make your own, but it is a lot of work. ScaleCity Designs, Model Tech Studios and Delta Models have seats and furniture. Delta Models also a line of other detail parts for passenger cars. I would do ebay for painted or unpainted people.

Scale City Designs mentioned above produce the former Keil Line O scale detail products, which include period passenger car seating and other fixtures. Delta Models have a larger range of prototypical passenger car details, which is really pretty impressive if you are interested in realistic details. Sometimes on fleabay some of the old interior kits that Walthers sold come up, which are pretty useful as they often supplied parts for a whole car.
Trouble is, these products are mostly for cars that have have true O scale interiors (mostly 2 Rail models) whereas most Lionel and MTH 3 Rail cars are smaller than that, more like S scale in fact. So there’s some work to do in cutting down parts to fit. You can also get 3D printed interior features via Shapeways although they can be pricey.
What I have resorted to quite a lot are “quarter scale” items that are mainly made for dioramas or dolls house displays. There’s a lot you can adapt from these to use inside model railroad cars. An internet/eBay search will give you a handle on what’s available and at what cost.
Good luck!
Hey fellas, thanks for a wealth of information, I will definitely put all of this info to good use.
