My fall/winter project this year is to scratch build a fleet of MOW cars. I have seen some great ideas in past years on the forum that seem to have vanashed. Please post some of your MOW cars.

I have several PRR MOW cars that are packed away that I need to get out and paint a gray color. All of them, except the MTH scale crane, are currently yellow. The PRR's MOW cars were gray until the early 1950s, when they were painted 'safety' yellow. Since my layout's era is late 1940s I need to change their color back to gray
I'll post pictures of them once I completed this project

I concur with you, regarding the older and recent PRR MOW color paint schemes.

dws, I happen to have the same goal as you...to build a custom MOW/wreck train this Fall/Winter. I just started the project this past weekend. I know it's going to take me a while to complete it, but I'm o.k. with that! I plan to photograph my progress along the way and will try to post some pictures periodically.
