Now that my layout has its own space I have put a little Marx 999 set under the Christmas tress. I had a Childhood Marx 999 set and Christmas layout with an oval and figure 8 with four Marx switches under our Christmas tree. The tree was built in a plaster of Paris mountain and tunnel in one corner.

In 2010, my 1938 Marx set was working better than any other set I owned. Here are some shots.
The blissful tinplate scenes were interrupted by the plastic Bachmann On30 trolley.

The freight terminal looks better with standard than it does with O in my opinion. It seems to overpower most layouts I have seen it on.
