I would like to put a smoke unit in my old 2353. I am sure someone has done it. Any info on this would be great.

There isn't a "standard kit" or a commercial add-on that does this - but it is as simple as finding an off the shelf smoke unit that physically fits, an appropriate power regulator (if necessary), an on/off switch (if desired), and connecting it to the center rail pickup and frame. Any smoke unit should come with all of the necessary wiring instructions.
There is no room for a smoke unit in a 2353, the motors and reverse unit are going to be in the way. You would have to drill the stacks out, manufacture or purchase some sort of manifold. You would also need some sort of circuity to operate the smoke unit.
I'll be interested too, if someone accomplished it.
You could probably get a Seuthe unit in there, but not sure thats what you want....
You could put the smoke unit in the dummy A unit and run the pair "backwards." I'd have no interest in doing so, but it's your PW trains.
Thanks for everybodys post, Maybe just a pipe dream i had.
You want to put a smoke unit into a postwar diesel 2353 red bonnet?
