Weather has been cold and icy for the last couple days so I thought I would FINALLY change some sound files in a couple of my Premier PS3 DASH 8's yesterday. First one went off without a hitch and I actually backed up the original sound file and loaded two different files before I got the one I was happy with. Again....no problems. When I started to do the second loco I again backed up the original sound file with no issues but when I started uploading the new sound file the power shut off for about 30 seconds at 80% upload!! Of course the upload stopped but since the USB power from my laptop kept the TIU powered I was able to click the "retry" button when the power came back on. It stated there was a problem uploading a certain memory bank and would upload that bank at a slower rate. When it got to the next bank it resumed regular speed until it hit 100%. However......when the upload tried to finish out the process it said there was a communication error and the loco didn't start up as usual. Now when I power up all I get is the front and rear headlight alternate flashing for about 10 flashes, the relay clicks and that's it. I've tried to recover the engine, connecting the TIU directly to the locos wheels, switching the DCS/DCC switch......everything I know to try. I'm at a complete loss. I've spent at least 2 hours scouring the net for any info and I can't find a single thing. I'm gonna call MTH when they open at 12......if I don't go crazy before then!!
