I have lionel powermaster that I am finally going to hook up to the layout. I purchased this used. It has a bolex(sp) connector with a white and black wire extending about 6 inches from the connector. My question is simple, which wire, the white or the black is connected to the hot lead on the transformer? The reason I ask is I already have TMCC on the layout and use the U connectors from the transformer for a common return. I fear if I chose poorly I will short the device.

The center pin is "hot", and its input will be regulated by the PM-1 to the "A" output. The other pin, at the square(bottom) end of the Molex connector/socket, is common to the "U" post of the PM-1. The top pin at the pointed end is unused.
Thanks for the fast response. I will have to look at the connector when I get home, it is not a lionel product apparently to see which wire is routed to the center pin. This illustration certainly clears things up.
Lionel does sell the molex connector with two 6 inch wires connected to it. The Black wire is the center pin on them.
