Yesterday, two of my great train friends Erol (AKA Locolawyer) Gurcan from New Jersey and Gerry Morlitz from New York drove to visit with me for the day.  Dotty and I took them to the awesome layout of Chris Lonero in Wilmington, Mass.  Left to right Gerry Morlitz, Carl Chancey, Chris Lonero, Erol (Locolawyer) Gurcan and myself.

Here is another photo of the great layout Chris has with O gauge, Standard gauge and race car set.

Next while in Wilmington, Mass, our good friend Jim Queenan opened the Boston Metro Hi-Railers layout for Gerry and Erol to see.  It seems that this great layout has been on everyone's bucket list to see.  If anyone gets the chance to be in the area, do not let a visit get by you.

A quick photo of this very large and very well done layout.

My good friend Gerry Morlitz signing my wall of great train friends.

My good friend Erol (Locolawyer) Gurcan is a must to be on my wall.  Thank you Erol.

We had a great day.  Thanks to Chris and Jim for opening up the layouts for us to visit.  How lucky can Chris be that the Boston Metro Hi-Railers are now located five minutes down the road from his home.

Marty, it was really great seeing you, Dotty and Carl. Thank you so much for the great time you showed us.

Chris, you and Linda were great hosts. I loved your layout, with the mixture of the different scales and the whimsy you display at Christmas. And it's really nice that you have a place for the trains you and your brother had as children.

The Boston Metro Hi Railers layout is a stunning work in progress. It is so neat to see it in construction stage and the beautiful job they are doing.

But the greatest part of the day was being asked by Marty to sign his wall of train friends. A true honor and something I will always value.

Chris,

The new benchwork looks awesome; it shows the care the club is putting into the expansion.  And I love those PRR Cabins above the signature wall.

But Gerry should have really changed out of his train P.J.s before those pictures were taken.  I know he's had them since the '50s but .....

Happy Holidays,

Bill

Hey Bill,  Boy are you out of the loop! Gerry is wearing a custom made train shirt. This particular fabric design has train heralds on it and comes in black background (Gerry's shirt) and light blue background. I make each one individually, sizes medium to XXL, to make sure each one fits the owner comfortably. There are 6 other fabric designs available, and they are very reasonably priced.  York PA TCA meet (especially Thursday at Friday's) is the best place to see all these shirts that have been made in America by an American.

My Dotty Perry original is the first in Australia and it's really turning heads!

It's what the fashionable train guy is wearing this season.

Merry Christmas everyone.

Chris,

You got that right!   That's what I love about our hobby.  It is the good people that you meet along the way on this journey we call life.  This is what is most Important.   Hopefully we make the world a better place,  one day, one person at a time.  If it weren't for toy trains, I never would have had the privelage of meeting you great people.  Be safe and healthy,

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to all!

Hey Dotty, you did a great job. I will get another one, I'll be in touch after Christmas.

And YES, I wanna sign the wall too. Say hello to Ralph from us down here.
