Building a new layout. I want to run both modern trains and pre-war trains like the 262, 264, 265, 225 and 226. I am concerned about track and switch interference with the large flange wheels.
I have a section of Ross straight track and I have confirmed that some tinplate wheels will "knock" on the rail spikes. Not always, but it can happen. This does not happen on straight Gargraves sections due to the lack of spikes on the rails.
Does anyone have personal experience with the above engines and their tenders on Gargraves switches. Any problems or issues?
