I also would like to see a "real" N&W 0-8-0 S1/S1a switcher.  The "scale" 0-8-0 that Lionel produced several years ago lettered for N&W was just a generic 0-8-0 that looked nothing like the real S1/S1a.  The tender was completely wrong.  A proper S1/S1a would be a nice complement to some of the larger N&W steam that Lionel has offered over the years.  Plus, I believe that the S1a owns the distinction of being the last steam locomotive made in the U.S.

Ok Lionel here are some ideas.

Like many forum members I am only buying if they have steam effects, swinging bell etc.  I will pay more!  Make them Visionline.  Here is the priority for me.  Of course, add the features only if they are prototypical.

Whistle steam

swinging bell

steam cylinder

blow down

If any of you would also like to see any of these engines produced please chime in with a Ya so Lionel can get a vote

Allegheny in Vision Line.

1. Lionmaster Hudson with Legacy and whistle steam

2. ATSF 1800 Class 2-6-2 #1880 (my absolute favorite steam engine, and come on, there hasn't been an O gauge 2-6-2 since the Postwar days!) with Legacy and whistle steam or swinging bell

3. Legacy 2-6-0

4. RS3M (specifically MKT 142) with Legacy

5. NYC RS3 #8255 with Legacy

And finally, THE PRICE FOR THE CAB1L!!!

All of these are just hopes.

A lot of great ideas, guys! I'd go for the NS Veterans Day engine, or the C415. I've seen the only operating C415 in Burlington, IA a couple years back, so it'd be really neat to have one.

A few of my wishes:
- Scale Nebraska Zephyr train set, with an updated, accurate chrome-plated E5 #9911A diesel!
- Amtrak heritage units

- Re-release of Amtrak Superliners, Phase IVb paint scheme

I got the Frisco SD40's from last year (some dealers still have them).  I highly reccomend them.  They are stunning looking and really liven up a layout.  They look fantastic pulling some of the silver Frisco Cylindrical Hopper cars!  I will try and post some pics of them...

I am not an Amtrak fan, living out here in the Ozarks. But in the Lionel Vol. I 2004 catalog, they had the 6-29165 Amtrack phase IV Two pack, along with the 6-29168 Diner.

The reason I am posting this is that there are a lot of guys out there looking for these and it would seem reasonable that they would re-produce these or something similar. I know of 3 guys around here that are really trying to get these and cannot find them anywhere. Please Lionel, try something like this, I bet there is still quite a market for these.

I SAID IT BEFORE, I'LL SAY IT AGAIN.

NYC NIAGARA WITH LEGACY, STEAM CHEST SMOKE, A DIESEL HORN AS WELL AS A STEAM WHISTLE W/ WHISTLE SMOKE, AND BLOW DOWN SMOKE.

I have it from the Century Club II. I had my friend Alex Malliae upgrade it to 4 chuffs and he also upgraded the smoke unit. He did a great job on it. Thanks Alex.

Here' a look.
