Some of the older Lionel prewar whistle impellers were made of cast metal. Part #WS-4 had four blades, and Part #WS-8 had eight blades. Here are the whistle units: WS-37 banana whistle and whistle for a 616
Does anybody made a replacement part for these impellers.
Are either of the plastic (bakelite) impellers useable for this application?
I have one or two old whistle units with bad impellers that I would fix if I could get some suitable parts.

These are not commonly available parts as far as I know.
Jeff does not have them, nor does any other parts provider of which I am aware.
CW, try DEW, Dennis Waldron. He has many old parts on the 'bay. He and his associates bought out several SS's many years ago. He also posts help and advice on the TTML.
