If I can get a right and left 072 switches lionel both for 100.00 is this a good deal or bad. They work and clean so not sure where to price these since they are used and old
If these are the old pre-war model 711, if they are complete with controllers then it's a good deal. Probably still a good deal even if you have to supply the controller, fixed voltage plug, light blub and light cover.
Personally, anything other than the prewar 711 switches I'd stay away from. I used to have a pair, of the 2000 vintage, and all equipment would bounce through them. I now stick to postwar 022 31" switches because I only run vintage equipment now, and other than Marx, all my pre and postwar stuff goes through smoothly. If I were running modern stuff I'd go with gargraves.
