There was nothing to complain about. Food was very good. Service was excellent. I congratulate to OGR staff on picking Quaker Steak for this York's dinner.

All true! Service was great and attentive. And good amount of room to socialize. And they had Yuengling.
They ran out of free beer.
It was fantastic.......pics later......A great event!

It was Great!!!!!Thank you OGR!!!!!!!
They ran out of free beer.
At least you had one freebie.
Funny anecdote--Jim Barrett walked in around 7 pm and walked up to the first table he came to which happened to be the table myself, Don Klose, Jim Policastro, and Farmer Bill were sitting at and asked how everything was. We had half empty glasses of beer in front of us but other than that the table was clear as the waitress had already cleared our plates. We told him the beer was good but we're still waiting for our food! I think we may have had him for a nanosecond.
Jim, again, thanks so much for putting last night's event together. It was a great time and everyone enjoyed themselves! I think we found our new place!
They even handed out warm wet wipes after the meal!

The OGR dinner at the Quaker Steak restaurant on Thursday evening was a pleasant surprise. The management and wait staff were friendly and proactive toward making our dining experience as comfortable as possible.
The food was hot and tasty and our server was terrific! By the time I arrived at the restaurant the entire back room was filled with OGR members. So we were seated right in front of the back room which made it convenient for me to take photographs of everyone I could find. The motor racing atmosphere of the restaurant was everywhere in sight from the Harley Motorcycle hanging from the rafters to the white Corvette hanging on the wall with TVs in the roof and hood! Too much nice nostalgia not to include in my photos so I have them to add to oue dining experience.
So here are my photos and I hope that everyone had the same positive experience as I.

Steve, thanks for all of the photos. You did a great job.
Glad to read and see that everyone had a good time. We bailed out early to drive to FL., for a condo board meeting. It won't happen again :-)
BTW it was 85 today, sunny, and the beach was calling me all day.
Excellent photos Steve, thank you. And thanks OGR....the setup was great....lots of fun seeing everyone again.
Great pictures, Steve........and the site, well we were on OGR-hallowed ground.....we were on just about the same turf that used to have our Thursday at Friday's meeting......

Great time!
Looks like a great time was had by all. Especially that gaggle of NJ Hi-Railers folks (and Alex and Dina). Sorry I had to miss this one. I'll be sure to be there in April.
Maybe next Spring!
My first time and it was excellent!
my 1st time also,,,,what fun,,,great food, super fast service,,,,and of course train talk,,,thanks to all !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Steve,
Do railroad shirts make me look fat?
Scrappy
No, that won't do it. Overeating does it.

Eliot,
There seems to be a lot of that happening to a lot of folks. Must be the head on camera angle.

Quaker Steak makes the best wings I've ever had. They've had one in Cranberry Twp. PA near where I live for 12 - 15 years now and their wings are as good now as when they first opened. They found a recipe that works and didn't mess with it!
Thanks Steve, I had my camera with me but I saw you had everything well in hand. Great job.

Thank You for the pictures!

You're welcome Jim. After 30 + years of doing professional photography this is how I spend my retirement. I belong to two train clubs and several Mustang Car Clubs so I'm always taking pictures and documenting events.
As you can see I can do this pretty quickly and have fun at the same time.
Steve
Farmer Bill, I didn't know that scrapple restaurants gave out fortune cookies. Maybe the scrapple was made in China.
Steve, thanks for the pix.
OGR and team picked a great place to eat, drink and be merry. good company and I finally was able to meet some of the forum members that have been helping me convert my passenger cars to LED.
Well done.
Scott, where is the cat in the hat? Glad you and your son made it. Sounds like it was all over but the shouting after Friday. I have not been able to go now for several years due to health etc. but appreciate seeing the photos. Wish they had these forum dinners prior to 2000.

MARTY, will you please smile when your picture is being taken?
Good job Jim Barret and OGR for lining this up.
I had a great time at Quaker Steak, easy parking, the food was good, the company was great, good atmosphere, and the service was good.
This should be the new place as far as I am concerned.
Good pictures, Steve.
QS&L was certainly on the ball for this event, service-wise. I had a good meal and a good time, but my brother didn't have so good of an experience with his meal. He ordered a steak cooked medium. It came out extra rare. He really doesn't like cold-in-the middle meat and he lost his appetite as a result. He didn't complain, and he didn't send it back for another, and just placed his napkin over it so the waiter would know to take it away. After taking the plate, the waiter returned to ask if there was a problem, and my brother explained. The waiter offered to get another one, but as I stated above, my brother wasn't hungry anymore and he declined. Then the manager came over and apologized and took the steak off the bill. As I said, my brother never complained, and QS&L really responded professionally. A lot of restaurants would have not taken the lead in making something right without a complaint being lodged. I will certainly go back, but I may have to twist my brother's arm a little in the Spring.

We sure liked them back in April. I get the impression the place is popular with the locals as it was pretty crowded when we got there. Glad the dinner was moved to QS&L. Glad everyone had a good time.
In my opinion, and in the opinion of everyone I talked with at the event, without exception, QS&L came through with flying colors. Food and service was excellent--the best of any event we have held in the past. You can be quite sure we WILL be back there again in April. My personal thanks to all the staff at QS&L, and especially to the lovely Nanci (I'm pictured here with my new Facebook friend) for taking such good care of the folks at our table and for being such a fun person.
It was so good that part of our OGR team went back on Friday evening and had the same great experience. I would have joined them, but had dinner with my dear friends and fellow associates Bruce and Linda Greenberg (of Greenberg Publishing Company fame) across the street at Lyndon Diner. Also a great place to dine. So much food that I could only finish about half of it.
Fortunately, there is another QS&L about a mile or so from where I live here in Ohio, and I've been known to frequent that place when there's a particular football game on TV that I want to watch.

happy to pile on here! congrats to Jim Barrett, the OGR staff, and QSL! it all went so well. and as others have said, it was weird occupying the same space; same great peeps; as in times past, only with a different decor; colder beer and way better service.
our server Brooke was always swinging by every now and then. and thanks to Steve tapper for the pics!
Dina and I had a wonderful time with the best friends you can possibly ask for. !!!!!!
We are so lucky to have many many great forum member friends.

Had a great time at Quaker Steak & Lube I tried to get lubed drinking something they called Burn Rubber Had four of them before switching back to my favorite flavor beer. The best part of Burn Rubber though was that they were made with home made lemonade All those pits that got stuck in the straw were quickly shot at Alex's head. LOL
We started out the night gawking at female wrestling on the TV by us. Dina said they have nothing on her
Then Alex wanted to take a picture of our waitress who was great
Alex didn't think he looked as cool as the waitress so he had to act like he was
