This has probably been covered before, But will ask anyways.

I have been posting on a Thread over on Scenery and Structures.   When I go to Photobucket today I just get the spinning wagon wheel.   So, not able to post pictures.   Will try again later.   Anybody else have this problem ?  Is it just my internet connection ?    I have DSL and is not the best, but Photobucket gives me more problems that other things I do on the internet.

So  ....   what other options are there for posting pictures ?

If you are only going to post the images here, you don't need any other photo hosting service. Just upload your images directly from your computer to the OGR Forum server.

If you plan to display them on other sites, too, the easiest and cheapest way is to get your own domain name (about $10-$12 per year) buy a basic $5 per month hosting package from someone and host the images on your own server.

If you register your own domain name, steve24944.com is available.

It happens......  Companies do maintenance and things are not quite right and then they have to spend a week fixing the self-inflicted problems.  Very few are exempt for such....

I was able to use it this morning, upload a photo or 2, post a photo or 3.  Sluggish and all but then again I try not to embrace to much instant gratification syndrome behavior and find other stuff to do in the meantime.

I have few actual use issues; actually understanding how the operations and filing systems work there helps a lot when using the site.

All this time I thought one was required to use something like photobucket.   Yeah,  direct post from my computer would be much easier.    Did policy change at one time ?  Or have I been doing the photobucket thing for no reason.

And when you say "upload your images directly from your computer to the OGR Forum server"  how does that work ?

I went to Posting Tips and only found  -  Using graemlins and emoticons.   No tips about posting pictures.

Steve, when you are composing your post, put your cursor where you want the first image to appear, then click on "Add Attachments." Follow the instructions to find the correct file on your computer and upload the image to the forum server. If the page does not look the way you want it to after you complete the upload, you can click and drag images around on the page to get them to appear the way you want them to.

On our old, Eve-based forum, this was not possible. Another hosting source like Photobucket, was needed to post images. Ever since we upgraded to this "Hoopla" platform, posting images can be done like this.
