I think that they are a waste of paper and time. Doesn't affect your warranty one way or the other. Mine stay in the box that they came in.
I put mine in the trash after I pick them up off the floor. I hate them why waste the postage and time time.
I just had one fall out of the box my single-stall engine house came in.
I can kinda understand registering an engine or an accessory that has electronic or electrically controlled moving parts, but an engine house???
What's the point?
I send my warranty cards into the trash can.
I've never sent in a card. I used to go online, and register purchases there. But, I stopped that practice too. I don't know what registering does for anyone, anyway.
I'm like Bob, I did register the first wave, then I just started shoving them back in the boxes.
There was a time when those little cards served two purposes. First, you started the warranty. Second, You automatically received the next catalog. What a shame, times have changed.
A cost cutting measure for the train companies, stop sending those silly cards.

Yeah, I'd rather see a survey sheet (gotta campaign for SAL whenever I can )
I register my engines only online.
I love those cards and would miss them terribly if they ever stopped including them! They are so useful and informative and serve a great purpose!

Hmmm...I wonder where they get the paper from to make them
People may not know this but the purpose of those warranty cards are for tracking consumers by the marketing and advertising people of Mfg.companies.Since the invention of the internet you will eventually see less and less of them to not at all.
