I recently uncovered two programs from the original Chicago Railroad Fair of 1948 and 1949.  They were in the bottom of an old family file and they're in pretty good shape, perhaps not mint but no rips, no water stains, pretty good original color.  There is one from each year and one is 18 pages including the covers, the other 20 pages total.  As a kid my parents, knowing I was a train "nut", took me down to Chicago (from Milwaukee) to see the show, each year.  Some nice memories in here

I was just wondering if they have a value, at all.   As I'm getting older I'm trying to get rid of some items, especially those which another collector might appreciate.

I have one, and I enjoy it. I was in Chicago at the time, but was to young to be taken, much less go on my own. They are fairly common, so not too valuable. If you do an E Bay search on "Chicago Railroad Fair guidebook", the prices indicate anything from five to twenty dollars, and for one whole collection of fair "paper"which includes the guidebook, the "buy it now" price is only $9.99
