Progress on my helix

Are you going to complete both turns of the helix before you start laying track?  What is the separation between turns? Where are you going to put the wiring?

As soon as the first turn is completed, I'll begin laying track on it.  I don't want to have the second turn overhead while I lay track on the lower. Separation between levels is 7 3/4 inches.

I going to run a single DCC bus among the helix, probably on top of the subroadbed since this is not going to be a sceniced area, no point in having to work underneath if you don't have to.  The bus will be 12 ga. and the feeders will be 16 ga.

Do you plan to do anything to utilize all that space in the middle of the helix.  Other than access, it seems like a great place for a dispatcher's desk.  Looking great so far and I have enjoyed browsing your blog.
