I'm looking to find the correct trucks for a early 1900's wooden car. the picture shows(?) trucks similar to today. Who has or had the best appearing and performing trucks for 3 rail? Thanks for you time
You can also find arch bar trucks that were manufactured by Athearn and Walthers. While vintage, there were high-rail versions of these that you run across from time to time. I find the detail to actually be nicer than the MTH offering, but keep in mind with most scale trucks you will need a truck bolster as it is not built into the truck like it is with current three rail manufacturers.
