What is the correct size of screwdriver to use on modern O-27 coaches, like the Jamaica, or the 6-30111 Pullan set? I want to change the bulbs to 18 volts, but can't get the roof off. I just want to know the correct size screwdriver, so stay on topic please.

Maybe a photo of the TYPE of screw head would help, i.e. is it straight blade, Philips head, or JIS head?
most screws in our modern train are JIS. a phillips may feel like it fits, but it is not correct and will damage the screw head if it is tight and you need to use some muscle. if it is not tight a phillips will do, but you won't know until you try.
I would but i don't have a camera that would do more than a black dot on hand.
the best i can do is this.

Since my phillips head set is labeled differently for some reason, and I rather not have to buy a set.
0, 1 and 2 are the common JIS sizes used on our trains. a 1 and 2 will serve 99% of your needs, you don't have to buy a set.
You might find that a normal #1 Phillips with a little grinder fabrication to blunt-the-point, would be similar to a JIS tip. IMO.
