Really neat, but a bit pricey! If I ever get around to trying out a DCC system I might just spring for one of these. It would be a really nice item to have to run your trains with. One more thing to push me a little closer to a DCC system. I also like the idea of TMCC and JMRI. So many choices these days... I hope this is a big success for the makers of the device.

Drew, I think I like the idea of this throttle. It would be cool to have a prototype control panel.

For me, it has to work with DCS. I imagine it would be best for use with Mark S's computer program to be compatable with DCS?

I would think a Bluetooth or WIFI version to a tablet or phone might also be possible?

I don't know what would be needed to interface. I imagine it also would be better to control my trains outside in the sun than my old phone is.

Well did a little more research and I found that there is a free app called Withrottle it works with  JMRI for TMCC that is also free. I have  successfully built a CTC panel for my switches and have  successfully used the withrottle lite. There are a few missing things like  you have the ability to decrease the RPMs on a locomotive however you cannot increase the RPMs.  The guys are quick to respond, as I have inquired whether or not any future plans to enter the 3 rail market in the future.   It was their response that directed me to look into the information above.

To your comment Joe,  MTH system also supports DCC, which is also supported by  Protothrottle.

Anyhow, if you guys looking for alternative ways to control/run your  locomotives this is a free and easy way.

I feel these guys on the something, operating even for us 3 rail guys is becoming very popular and the fact that you can have a handheld throttle representing the actual control panel is way cool.  As previously stated, I think the Lionel LCS protocol would be something for these guys to look into.
