The rumors on RYPN came true. PRR 4859 has been pushed out from under the cover of the station to an uncovered platform. The GG1 and her caboose are out in the elements in front of the station. I discovered this while railfanning Harrisburg and Enola today. Sorry for the blurry photo, I had my phone as my camera to take it.

Probably not temporary. Amtrak needed the station track where this equipment was parked to construct new ADA compliant high level platforms

The last time she was moved temporarily, they shrink rapped her and put cameras all around her. Hopefully she won’t meet her demise at the scrap heap or something. It would be nice if she ended back up at Strasburg. They would have the most GG1s in one place anywhere!
