Having served from 1961 till 5/15/13 PRR 9331 has been reassigned back to PRR trackage and rejoined with its sister unit 9339.

I helped move the unit from Strasburg to Walkersville. Dave L assisted and then photograghed the daily event. Here is a link to the days moves through Lancaster, York, New Oxford, Gettysburg and down to Walkersville. We have some of the photo's posted here. We have other shots coming and one of it going by Fridays in York but missed most of the unit.

9331 has been reassembled and run through some short tests. It is reunited with 9339 where they will work together on excursions trains. It currently has some engine issues on one motor but should be repaired here shortly and put back into service.

9339 and 9331 are currrently coupled together as noted in the photo's

On 9339 you'll notice still has not been Painted. I have worked all winter with Dupont and the folks who did the NS hertiage units to get the orginal paints converted to modern color codes. what was really hard was the interior Suede Grey PRR/ Erie used we believe we have that color matched. the DGLP was existing and is spot tested on the outside of 9339. I believe 9331 was done in a Brunswick green and was wrong, but still looks good.

A good brief explaination was give on a rail preservation site

Come down to Walkersville ride the steam train and have a look at the sisters before 9331 goes into the shop.
