Grj, I received my engine back and am having a hard time getting it to load into the dcs, the  conventional operation works fine, but my dcs keeps saying there is no engine to add.  Please send me an email or reply here to walk me through this.

I have 20 volts on the track, and the dcs, dcc selector set to dcs.

Upon further testing, it seems to be starting up in conventional mode.  The couplers fire, horn and bell work , and it changes direction based on F-N-R throttle cycling.   When power is first applied to the track it sits there quietly for a few seconds, then starts up.  This is the first proto3 conversion I own, so I am open to suggestions on getting it to be recognized.

WOW, I tested it with DCS right before it went into the box!  I also was testing all along with DCS, I only did a brief test in conventional to assure myself that it worked in that mode.  It ran around my loop a few times, honked the horn, etc., and then I put it in the box.  I'm at a loss what happened on the trip.  Can you try it on a short segment of track with the TIU only feeding that?  Perhaps it's not receiving the signal that well.  I'm assuming other PS/2 engines work fine on the same track?

FWIW, I did have issues loading the sound and chain files with AC, I reverted to DC and it slid right in.  That's a pretty well documented issue, so I don't know that it has any bearing, but it's something.  With PS/2, I normally just use my bench transformer, PS/3 is a little pickier.
